Who is ziziramics ?

Behind ziziramics is Živa Šekoranja, a part-time self-taught ceramist and part-time architect. She comes from Ljubljana and has been living in Brussels for the past decade.

After learning hand building and wheel throwing pottery for many years in different ateliers, Živa opened her own pottery studio in the beginning of 2023 in Etterbeek, Brussels. In 2025, she was certified as craftswoman by the “Commission Artisans du SPF Economie” in Belgium.

Her practice is based on the search of the forms for everyday use, with minimal décor. Her pieces are minimalistic, useful and yet unique, made in small series.

Most of her work is made on the potter’s wheel but some pieces are also hand built. From shaping the pieces to glazing and firing, it all takes place in her small studio.
